VALIPAT is a sister company of GEVERS.

We use IT technology for decades to improve, speed up and monitor volume operations in IP processes.

GEVERS was founded in 1898 and has an extensive experience in validating patents, but has also a long history of applying IT to IP. Indeed:

• 1960: Compu-Mark (formerly called Documentation Gevers) and now part of the Thomson-Reuters Group leases an IBM 360 for its trademark searches;
• 1971: GEVERS files 25,000 Benelux maintenance applications in less than 3 months, using computer technology;
• 1996: GEVERS files more than 2,500 CTM applications on April 1st and successfully records more than 12,000 seniority claims;
• 2005: during the “.eu” sunrise period, 98% of GEVERS applications were granted after filing and submitting the documentary evidence.
